The current plan for this translation patch is as follows:

• Either find a transcription of all dialogue or find someone willing to make one
• Localize that plus all the UI elements
• Figure out how to edit UI stuff
  • Images and numbers will be easy
• Figure out how to re-insert edited video so I can subtitle all cutscenes
  • If this is possible, then that's like 70% of the patch done
• See if it's possible to add an in-game subtitle system
  • Might not be due to either me being dumb, the game being dumb, or the ROM being too full

If it's impossible for me to implement a subtitle system, then I'm most likely going to switch from subtitling altogether to dubbing over everything. It's still too early to tell, though, so for now I'm going to focus on figuring out where exactly everything is before I jump in.
